For centuries Crimea and South of
Ukraine have been attracting people from all parts of the world. Access to the Black and Azov Seas, balmy climate, rich flora and fauna, and supply of natural resources make this place ideal for living. At the same time these contribute to making the destination very desirable by tourists. Undoubtedly the majority of travelers go to the South of the country looking for plenty of gentle sun, warm sea waves, wildlife and undeveloped nature.
Due to the diversity of the sea cost and nearby areas every time you visit Southern Ukraine and Crimea you will find something new and undiscovered. Fabulous nature of Southern Ukraine should be given separate attention. It may be hard to believe but in Askania-Nova, Kherson area, a piece of steppe with wild nature is carefully preserved there without being changed by people. It is one of the rare places in the world where Przewalski’s horses can be watched in their natural environment. Oleshky Sands, the largest expanse of sand in Ukraine, are so impressive that they are often mentioned as a desert. National preserves on the Biryuchiy Island in the Azov Sea houses rare birds and animals. Ukrainian Death Sea “Sivash” impresses with its source of minerals and massive bird flocks living around it.

Combination of the unique landscapes together with favorable climate supported by rich historical and cultural heritage makes Crimea one of the most desirable travel destinations in Ukraine. During only one day you can find there mountains overgrown with deep forests and forbidding rocks, dead-end canyons, picturesque waterfalls and mountain lakes, prairie valleys and lush gardens, quiet bays and steep rocky cliffs, and find many options for recreation and extreme activities. The ancient ruins of Chersonesus in Sebastopol and the remains of ancient settlements in Sudak, Feodosia, and Kerch are sharing secrets of the past. Big cities (Yalta, Alushta, Sevastopol, and Feodosia) and smaller towns and villages provide hundreds of options for tourists with different requirements and budgets available all year around.
